11 of the 12 playoff berths are officially clinched. There is one postseason berth left in the West.
Here are the standings and seedings as we stand late Friday night.
WEST – Bentonville is the 1 seed in the West while Har-Ber/Fayetteville are the 2-3 seeds. Har-Ber is the 2 seed with a win or FAY loss. Fayetteville is the 2 seed with a win and a Har-Ber loss.
Springdale and Rogers are the 4th/5th seeds. Springdale plays Rogers Tuesday and the winner is the 4th, the loser is 5th. UPDATE – Per Henry Apple, there is another scenario the Rogers-Springdale scenario. If Rogers beats Springdale in Tuesday’s match, how the match is won determines the seeding. If Rogers sweeps, Rogers is No. 4 and Springdale No. 5. If Rogers wins in 4, another tiebreaker will be needed. If Rogers wins in 5, then Springdale holds the tiebreaker because it won the first match 3-1. (Thanks, Henry)
Bentonville West owns the tiebreaker for the sixth seed, so a West win or a Van Buren loss clinches West the 6th seed. Van Buren only gets in with a win AND a West loss.
CENTRAL – The top 3 seeds are set. Conway is 1, North Little Rock is 2, FS Southside is 3.
FS Northside, Bryant and Mount St. Mary all have clinched berths. Mount St. Mary owns the tiebreakers over both Northside and Bryant. Northside owns the tiebreaker over Bryant.
Northside is the 4th seed with a win over FS Southside or a Mount St. Mary loss to LR Central. A Mount St. Mary win and a Northside loss, makes Mount St. Mary the 4th seed and Northside 5th.
Bryant can be the 5th seed with a win over Conway and a Mount St. Mary loss to LR Central. If Bryant loses or Mount St. Mary wins, the Lady Hornets will be the 6th seed.
