SPRINGDALE – Springdale Har-Ber senior forward Karrington Whaley, a Henderson State University commit, is trying to will the Lady Wildcats toward their first 7A-West conference win.

She scored 16 points in Har-Ber's league opener, and coach Jaime Green will need more performances like that for her club to make a run at the state tournament.

SPRINGDALE – The Springdale girls and boys opened 7A-West play win wins Friday night against Rogers Heritage.

The Lady Red'Dogs used a 16-2 run late to earn a 63-39 win. Sophomore Marquesha Davis led Springdale with a game-high 25 points and 16 rebounds.

Jeremy Price's Red'Dogs also closed strong, finishing on a 16-0 run after Heritage's Seth Stanley added the first bucket of the fourth quarter. Car Fitch scored a game-high 14 points and had 3 blocks in the final period. Justin Bilyeu added 11 points as well.
