Starting quarterback Cole Evans suffered bruised ribs in last week’s loss to Jefferson City, Mo., but the senior has been practicing this week. The final scorecard at Centennial Valley Golf Course in Conway made it appear that Bentonville's boys would have to settle for a second-place finish at the Conway Invitational Tournament.
That all changed after a 45-minute discussion, and the Tigers were able to claim the team title during Saturday's tournament. Bentonville had a 320 team score, followed by Conway with 325 and Little Rock Catholic with 326.
