Fort Smith Northside turned two turnovers by Har-Ber into touchdowns as the Grizzlies defeated the Wildcats 29-20 Friday at Mayo-Thompson Stadium.

Northside took a 16-7 halftime lead after an interception return and a fumble return for a touchdown late in the second quarter. The Grizzlies added two score in the second half to withstand two three scores by Luke Hannon, who had two touchdown runs and a reception for a touchdown for Har-Ber.

Quarterback Clay Tyler threw three touchdown passes and the Rebels made a goal-line stand in the first half to defeat Springdale Har-Ber 35-25 at Wildcat Stadium.

Two of Tyler's touchdown passes went to Andrew Barley, who also recovered a late on-side kick for the Rebels. Luke Hannon scored on a pair of 2-yard touchdown runs for the Wildcats, who lost their third consecutive game.

Southside improved to 6-2, 4-1 while Har-Ber dropped to 2-6, 2-3.

ROGERS — Trey Smith started at quarterback for Springdale Har-Ber and he also caught three passes in the first half for the Wildcats. But Smith’s biggest contribution Friday night may have come off his foot.

In a scoreless game, the sophomore booted a punt 59 yards to the Rogers High one midway through the second quarter.
