Little went right for Springdale Har-Ber Friday, and Fayetteville continued surging as the state tournament approaches, knocking off the conference-leading Wildcats 71-53 to cap the next to last week of conference action.

Har-Ber got 15 points from Ryan Taylor and 14 from Tyler Garrett, but Har-Ber shot just 28 percent (14/50) in the loss. Four Purple'Dogs reached double figures as they won their fourth straight game and clinched a spot in the state tournament.

If the season ended now, the Lady Tigers would be the No. 6 seed and would likely face Conway or Fort Smith Northside in a first-round game.

There is not much room for error on Bentonville's side now, especially since its … Continue Reading ››

His club then traveled to central Arkansas and came back with an overtime win over Little Rock Christian. Har-Ber's winning streak has now reached seven games as week three of conference play begins.

First-year coach Jaime Green's Lady Wildcats are still in search of their first league win after another tough home loss Friday to Bentonville.
