Shiloh Christian will return to the 4A-1 Conference this season after two years in the 5A-West.
The Saints were 6-4-1 last season and advanced to the 5A state playoffs. A number of top skill position players will return this season, including WR Adler Goode, who is drawing college interest, said coach Josh Floyd.
Floyd said the service academies as well as UCA have all stopped in this spring to check in on Goode, who has sprouted up to 6-foot-2 and added about 15 pounds since last season.
The Saints, who will open the season against defending Class 3A state champion Charleston in the Hooten’s Kickoff Classic at Mayo-Thompson Stadium in Fort Smith, will start spring practices next Tuesday. Shiloh Christian’s spring game will be May 30.
Shiloh Christian will spend the spring developing new quarterbacks as both Daniel Shimer and Dillon Sharp graduate this spring.
