COACH: Becky Efurd.

LAST YEAR’S FINISH: Finished sixth at the Class 7A state meet with 63 points.

KEY PERFORMERS: Elise Randels (Sr.), Hannah Martin (Jr.), Aubrey Gilreath (Sr.), Halle Gilreath (Sr.), Grace Risenhoover (Jr.), Audrey Wilson (Soph.).

TOP NEWCOMERS: Hannah Leuders (Sr.).

THE SKINNY: The Lady Mounties won an indoor state title a few weeks back and will hope to carry that momentum into the outdoor season. Martin broke the indoor state record in winning the high jump, while teammate Randels wasn’t far behind. Wilson should be a factor in the hurdles, after she dealt with a hip injury last year. Leuders returned for her senior year, after attending the IMG Academy in Florida and should be a factor in the sprints. The Gilreath sisters also provide some punch in the distance events.
