THE SKINNY The Lady Wildcats return most of their roster from last season. … Senior guard Maci Mains leads the way for Har-Ber after scoring around 10 points per game last season despite playing with a foot injury. Mains has signed with Henderson State, where she will join former teammate Karrington Whaley. … Experience will be a huge plus for the Lady Wildcats with 13 juniors and seniors on the roster. … Two freshmen — Chloe Joyner and Sophie Wood — are expected to play key roles for Har-Ber. … The Lady Wildcats lost in the first round of the Class 7A state tournament 73-44 to Conway. … Har-Ber was 2-5 in the first round of 7A-West play last season, but finished 4-3 in the second round including a 59-47 win over Bentonville High when Mains scored 20. Har-Ber will open the regular season at home on Monday, Nov. 20 against Little Rock Hall.

THE SKINNY The Wildcats shared the 7A-West Conference title last season and advanced to the state semifinals before falling to Fort Smith Northside 69-56. Northside went on to win the 7A state title. …Har-Ber went 12-2 in league play last season. … Tylor Perry led the Wildats in scoring last season at 15.8 points per game and was named to the first team of the All-NWADG Division I team. … Tyler Garrett averaged 11.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists and was named to the second team. … The Wildcats open the season on the road in the BearKat Classic in Brookland on Nov. 16 against Paragould. Har-Ber will not play a home game until Dec. 8 when it hosts Ashdown.
