The only item from 1979 at the AAA archives was the 1979 Boys Overall Program. That was the year that Class B Parkdale shocked the state by winning the Overall, the first small school to do so.
Also, by the late 1970s, the state tournaments began to move away from Barton Coliseum and move to various sites all over the state. Even the Boys Overall Finals would move to the Farris Center at Central Arkansas.
There are a few missing programs I would like to have, besides all of the 1979 season. For example, the Class AAAA state tournament program would be awesome to scan. That tournament was won by Pine Bluff High, led by U.S. Reed,
There would be very little in the AAA archives after this point for the next few years. We will start back in the mid 1980s after this post.
