Wildcats Jump On Mounties Early, Often

The first two plays from scrimmage were an indication of how the night would go for Rogers High against Springdale Har-Ber on Friday.

Gamebreaker

SPRINGDALE HAR-BER 37, ROGERS 7

WHY THE WILDCATS WON

Springdale Har-Ber grabbed a quick 16-0 lead, then countered a Rogers touchdown with its own to lead 23-7 at halftime. The Wildcats also did a good job against Rogers’ triple option, except for a long touchdown run by Ty Galyean.

WHY THE MOUNTIES LOST

Rogers did the No. 1 thing it had to avoid in Friday’s road game. The Mounties fell behind 16-0 in the first quarter and could not catch up with an offense severely limited because of injuries.
