LITTLE ROCK Little Rock Parkview had a pair of basketball players ink their futures with colleges on Wednesday afternoon, the first day of the November early-signing period.
Patriots guard I.J. Ready signed with Mississippi State, while Lady Patriots guard Roshunda Johnson made her pledge to Oklahoma State in a signing ceremony in Parkview's C.E. Ripley Arena.
Ready, who previously had orally committed to Nebraska, is headed to Mississippi as part of its 2013 class. Parkview head coach Al Flanigan's son, Wes, is in his first season as an assistant coach at Mississippi State after spending the past two seasons at Nebraska.
Ready is a two-year starter who helped lead the Patriots to their second consecutive Class 6A state championship last season.
Johnson, a four-year starter for the Lady Patriots, helped her team to a Class 6A state title last season as well.
