LITTLE ROCK Altee Tenpenny has committed to play at Alabama.
The North Little Rock senior-to-be orally committed to the Crimson Tide while taking in Alabama's Junior Day this weekend, his coach Brad Bolding, confirmed to ARPreps.com.
Tenpenny, an Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Super Sophomore, committed to the Tide over offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma State, Auburn and Tennessee, among others.
The Crimson Tide recently wrapped up their second BCS National Championship with a 21-0 victory over LSU earlier this month.
The 5-11, 200-pound running back missed his entire junior season after fracturing his ankle in a preseason scrimmage. He is the second in-state running back to commit out of state in the last three seasons, joining former Little Rock Christian back Michael Dyer from 2009. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that Dyer will transfer to Arkansas State earlier this month.
Oral commitments are non-binding.
