Dragons pull down fourth title since 2003

Asked if Junction City had a name for its final play of the 2012 season, Coach David Carpenter simply said, “Hail Mary.” This prayer was answered, too.

Junction City wins 2A title on Hail Mary

Junction City's Shaquille Hunter threw up a Hail Mary pass with no time on the clock and Dorian Evans caught the ball on the tip to give the Dragons a 27-26 victory over Bearden and their third Class 2A state title in five years. (By David Harten)
