— Stuttgart took advantage of seven Central Arkansas Christian turnovers, six in the second half, and cruised in the second half to a 49-22 win in the First Security Classic at War Memorial Stadium.

The Ricebirds (1-0) picked off reserve quarterback Chandler Hamilton, who took over for starter Jack Thomas in the second quarter, four times and scored three defensive touchdowns in the rout.

John Curtis was named MVP of the game for Stuttgart after scoring on both offense and defense.
