LEADERSHIP PLENTIFUL ON DEFENSE
It is not often that four linebackers in a 3-4 defense can be senior leaders, but that's what Springdale Har-Ber is working with heading into the season.
POSITION BATTLE: LINEBACKERS
The Skinny
WATCH OUT FOR: Senior outside linebacker David Karr. Karr led the team in tackles and interceptions as a safety last season and has the chance to be a difference maker for the Wildcats defense at linebacker this season, as well.
BIGGEST STRENGTH: Experience and depth. The Wildcats have seven seniors at linebacker this season. Much like the rest of the defense, the linebacker corps can rotate several guys to keep fresh legs on the field and wear down offenses.
BIGGEST QUESTION: What kind of role will junior Brock Dassero play? Dassero had 19 tackles and started as a sophomore against El Dorado last season. At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, Dassero is the biggest linebacker at Har-Ber.
