FRONT LINE HAS VETERAN LEADERSHIP

Edwin Espinoza isn’t the one who’s hollering the adjustments that must be made to Springdale High’s pass protection during a game.

POSITION BATTLE: OFFENSIVE LINE

The Skinny

Watch Out For: Guard Joe Burlingame. Springdale’s coaches were impressed with Burlingame’s progress in the spring, and the senior did enough to be voted a captain by his teammates.

Biggest Strength: The Bulldogs have an experienced offensive line with four seniors penciled in as starters. Junior center Edwin Espinoza is the only non-senior projected as a starter.

Biggest Question: It has yet to be seen if Springdale’s front line could be physical and overpower defenses on Friday nights. The unit has shown signs that it can be solid, but that won’t be known until the season starts.
