Bentonville remains No. 1 in prep poll

Bentonville remains No. 1 in The Associated Press Arkansas high school football poll this week.
The Tigers made easy work of previously No. 5 North Little Rock in a 49-14 win in their season-opener, led by senior quarterback Dallas Hardison’s 263 yards passing and 5 touchdowns. Bentonville has now won 14-straight games, including last season’s Class 7A state championship.
North Little Rock fell out of the poll after the loss, while Class 5A’s top-ranked Greenwood enters at No. 9 overall.
Fort Smith Southside remains No. 2 after narrowly escaping No. 7 Conway 32-27, while Springdale Har-Ber is No. 3. Class 4A Pulaski Academy is No. 4, while Fayetteville is No. 5.
Lake Hamilton takes over the top spot in Class 6A, while Rison remains No. in Class 3A and Magazine No. 1 in Class 2A.
