Pulaski Academy quarterback Fredi Knighten was named the ARPreps.com/Little Rock Touchdown Club Player of the Week for Week 2 after completing 22 of 26 passes for 456 yards and six touchdowns and running for 100 yards and two touchdowns in win over Cabot. For the regular season, Knighten, who committed to Arkansas State, rushed 79 times for 563 yards and 10 touchdowns, a 7.1 yard per carry average and was 195-for-265 passing for 3,397 yards, 49 touchdowns and 5 interceptions.

Fredi Knighten was pulled from Saturday’s Class 4A state championship game with 3:38 left in the third quarter, and with Pulaski Academy’s state title securely under wraps.
