Can’t miss games in 1-3A Conference

A quick glance at three can’t miss games in the 1-3 A Conference this season: SEPT. 23 YELLVILLE-SUMMIT AT WEST FORK Yellville-Summit went 6-5 last season, but it is expecting bigger things with 17 returning starters. West Fork figures to be tested by the Panthers’ salty offensive line, which includes four returning starters, two of whom weigh more than 300 pounds. SEPT. 30 WEST FORK VS. GREENLAND Greenland followed its 35-14 loss at West Fork last year with seven consecutive victories, including one in the playoffs. An improved Pirates team gets its main rival at home this year, but the defending 1-3 A Conference champion Tigers have extra motivation this time. Despite West Fork’s run to the semifinals last year, the coaches picked Greenland to win the conference this season.
