In the 7A-West Conference, where rosters are plentiful and there are enough players to go around, coaches typically don’t ask their players to line up on both offense and defense.

NOTABLE: In addition to his football abilities, Murphy has also excelled at track and field. He finished fifth in the long jump in the Class 7A state meet with a leap of 21 feet, 11 1/2 inches and took sixth in the triple jump at 43-3.
