Farmington’s Hobbs Wins POTW

Farmington senior running back Justice Hobbs in the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Player of the Week after running for a career-high 294 yards and five touchdowns on just 24 carries in a 46-14 win over Clarksville.

Hobbs’ huge performance featured a number of highlight plays. He scored on a 13-yard run in the first quarter, then had touchdown runs of 24, 55 and 7 yards in the second before adding a 21-yarder in the fourth for good measure. He also ran for two 2-point conversions and threw for another.

OTHER TOP PERFORMERS

Blake Faulk, Prairie Grove: Faulk ran for 149 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries and caught two passes for 74 yards and another score in Prairie Grove’s 62-33 blowout win over Shiloh Christian.

Luke Hales, Greenwood: Hales had another big outing in the Bulldogs’ 56-19 win over Conway, completing 9 of 13 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns while adding 37 yards and another score on the ground.

Luke Hannon, Springdale Har-Ber: Hannon was the workhorse for Har-Ber in its 31-21 win at Bentonville, running for 192 yards and two touchdowns on 34 carries.

Ricky Hughes, Siloam Springs: Hughes ran for 164 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to help lead Siloam to a 26-24 win at Van Buren.

Taylor Powell, Fayetteville: The junior quarterback had a near-perfect performance in a 70-21 win at Springdale, completing his first 17 passes and finishing 20 of 22 for 238 yards and three scores while running for 26 yards and another score.

Randy Rainwater, Fort Smith Southside: Rainwater caught five passes for 116 yards and two scores in Southside’s 35-13 win over Rogers.
