Class 7A Spring Sports Standings (through May 3)

The regular season for baseball and softball wrap up on Friday while a handful of makeup games will finish the soccer season on Monday.

Though there a few berths still left to be clinch, there is a lot of seeding left to be decided.

2017-05-03 7A Baseball Standings

7A-CENTRAL – Cabot is the one seed. Bryant is the 2 seed with a win over Conway or a North Little Rock loss to Cabot. North Little Rock is the 2 seed with a win and Bryant loss.

Conway is the fourth seed and Catholic is the fifth seed. Northside and Southside will play a winner-take-all game for the sixth seed.

7A-WEST – The top 2 seeds are set as Fayetteville (1 seed) and Bentonville (2 seed) each have first-round byes.

Har-Ber is the third seed with a win and Van Buren will be the fourth. However, if Har-Ber loses, Van Buren and Har-Ber are tied for third and the Pointers own the tiebreaker, dropping the Wildcats to fourth.

Rogers is the fifth seed while Springdale is the sixth seed.

7A-CENTRAL – The top 4 seeds are set. Bryant is the top seed, Cabot is 2 (thanks to owning the tiebreaker over NLR), North Little Rock 3, Conway 4. Northside and Southside are in and will play for the 5-6 seeds Friday. Southside must win by 3 runs or more to get the 5 seed.

7A-WEST – Bentonville and Rogers are the top 2 seeds. Bentonville is the 1 seed with a win or a Rogers loss. Rogers is the 1 seed with a win and Bentonville loss. Bentonville West, Van Buren and Rogers Heritage are battling for the 3-4-5 seeds (Van Buren and Bentonville West have a makeup game Friday that could decide the 3 seed). Springdale Har-Ber is locked in as the sixth seed.

7A-CENTRAL – Northside and LR Catholic are the top 2 seeds. Northside is the 1 seed with a win. A Catholic win and Northside loss leaves both teams at 12-2 and tiebreakers will be needed to decide the top seed.

Bryant is locked in as the third seed. Conway, Southside and Central all can finish as the 4-5-6 seeds. A Conway win over Bryant likely gives the Wampus Cats the fourth seed. Southside is the likely fifth seed while Central is the sixth seed.

7A-WEST – Springdale Har-Ber and Rogers are the top 2 seeds. A Har-Ber win or Rogers loss gives the Wildcats the 1 seed. Springdale and Rogers Heritage are battling for the 3-4 seeds. Bentonville is the likely 5 seed. Fayetteville is the sixth seed with a win or a Bentonville West loss.

7A-CENTRAL – Cabot is the top seed. Mount St. Mary is the 2 seed with a win over Central, but a Central win could lead to a 3-way tie between Mount St. Mary, LR Central and FS Southside for the 2-3-4 seeds. Bryant and Conway will play for the 5-6 seeds Friday.

7A-WEST – Bentonville is the top seed. Fayetteville is the 2 seed with a win. Har-Ber is the 3 seed if Fayetteville wins making Rogers the fourth seed. Rogers Heritage, Springdale and Bentonville West are still alive for the 5 and 6 seeds.

  1. By looking at the tie breaker rules, the AAA points do not come into play on down the line. If NLR and Bryant both lose tonight, NLR has the head to head tie break. NLR won by 6 earlier in the season and Bryant won by 4. That is the way I read the tie break.
