Class 7A Volleyball Standings (Through Oct. 13 Games)

Rogers High Lady Mounties win Border Wars Rogers High put together a solid day of volleyball to claim the 12-team Border Wars tournament on Saturday at Hollister, Mo. The Lady Mounties (21-11) went 6-0 on the day, defeating Clever, Mo. for the second time in the tournament finals. "I feel like we did a really good job siding out," Rogers High coach Christina Lawrence said. "We played pretty consistently and served very well. Clever was a big team with some heavy arms." The 7A-Central is now in a 4-way tie for first place between Conway, Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside and North Little Rock. NLR rallied from a 2-0 deficit to down Conway 3-2 Thursday to create the logjam at the top. Springdale Har-Ber Lady Wildcats take Jenks Invitational The Lady Wildcats reeled off six wins, one by forfeit, at the Jenks Invitational over the weekend and enter the second half of 7A-West play on a 10-match win streak, 21-2 overall and 7-0 in conference.

Har-Ber is now 10-1 in neutral court matches this season.

Lauren Thompson paced Har-Ber offensively, totaling 81 kills in the five matches. Klaire Trainor had 63 and Paige Williams added 49.

Rogers High Lady Mounties look to finish first half strong Rogers High split a pair of 7A-West matches last week, downing Van Buren in four set before getting swept at Bentonville on Thursday. The Lady Mounties (7-7, 2-3 7A-West) will try to finish the first half of league play with a flourish at Bentonville West on Tuesday, then hosting Springdale High on Thursday.
