Bentonville has been denied the opportunity to win a third consecutive MaxPreps Cup title this year.

Portland (Ore.) Jesuit ended Bentonville's run and claimed this year's claim to the nation's top athletic program. Jesuit finished with 1,122 points, while Bentonville had 958 points.

The two-time defending MaxPreps Cup champion finished fall sports with state titles in girls tennis and girls cross country and a state runnerup in boys cross country.

Bentonville, fueled by its state championships in boys and girls swimming and its runnerup finishes in boys basketball and wrestling, has … Continue Reading ››

The girls team recorded their fourth straight top-three finish at the conference meet.

“Overall, we finished better than I expected,” Springdale coach Matt Hervey said. “Kids really worked hard.  Kids continue to work and next … Continue Reading ››
