Bentonville West will host its quarterfinal playoff game one week from today at Tiger Stadium, Bentonville athletic director Scott Passmore said Thursday.

The Wolverines (9-1) will play that night against the winner of Friday's first-round game between Rogers High and Conway. Kickoff will be scheduled for 7 p.m.

Passmore made that announcement Thursday morning after phone conversations with Arkansas Activities Association officials, as well as officials from both Rogers and Conway schools. Those schools agreed to play on Thursday, and the AAA approved the idea.

In the Battle of Rogers Avenue, the Grizzlies (3-7, 2-5) beat the Mavericks (3-7, 2-5) for the second straight season to earn the 7A-Central's 5 seed. Northside leads the all-time series 29-25-2. Southside, which had won 2 straight games to clinch a playoff berth, will be the 6th seed from the Central. Both teams have Northwest Arkansas road trips to start the Class 7A playoffs. Northside travels to Springdale Har-Ber while Southside goes to Fayetteville.
