Many people in Arkansas remember Moncrief as one of “The Triplets” that led Arkansas to the 1978 Final Four, but he also had a successful NBA career.
He was the back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year in 1983 and 1984 and played in the All-Star game five times.

I had the opportunity Friday morning to spend a couple of hours in Farmington, where I spoke with athletic director Brad Blew and coaches Mike Adams, Beau Thompson and Brad Johnson about the school's upcoming move to Class 5A status.
Farmington has played its final game in the 4A-1 Conference and will be a member of the 5A-West Conference when classes resume in August.

The legend of Bentonville guard Malik Monk is growing fast.
Monk scored 59 points Saturday for the Arkansas Wings. He made 15 of 27 field goal attempts, including 10 of 18 attempts from 3-point range in the Wings' 98-91 loss to All Ohio Red at Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League in Sacramento, Calif.
The sophomore also made 19 of 23 free throw attempts and grabbed 9 rebounds while playing 39 minutes.
Monk is already considered one of the top recruits nationally. He has offers from Kansas, Florida, Baylor and homestate Arkansas.
