Springdale High basketball preview

SPRINGDALE HIGH BOYS 'Rebuilding' would be the term best used to describe Jeremy Price's Springdale team this winter. Last year, Price floored a senior-laden club in a loaded 7A-West. The Red'Dogs won their way into the state tournament as a 4-seed, where they knocked off Conway and played eventual state champion Cabot down to the wire on the Panthers' home court. Gone now are those seniors, and a cast of fresh faces will have to carry the load. "We lost, I think, 12 seniors last year," Price said. "It was good having that age and we had a few kids with a little experience, … Continue Reading ››

Full stats with recap: Bryant 23, Springdale Har-Ber 16

But on the first play of the series, Bryant came up with its third interception of the night and sealed the win. Turnovers were a nightmare … Continue Reading ››

Springdale Har-Ber basketball preview

Springdale Har-Ber boys The 7A-West is as wide open as its been in quite some time. And as of now, Springdale Har-Ber looks to be a serious preseason contender for the conference crown. Bowlin’s club finished under .500 last season in the loaded 7A-West as the Wildcats earned the league’s five seed in the state tournament. They then fell 56-53 to West Memphis in the opening round in Cabot. The conference isn’t nearly as loaded this winter, though, as Fayetteville and Bentonville stars Payton Willis and Malik Monk have moved on to Vanderbilt and Kentucky, respectively. Har-Ber returns one of the league's top guards … Continue Reading ››
