For a second consecutive week, coach Zak Clark's Bulldogs have made enough plays to pull out tough roads wins. Springdale High is 2-0 for the first time since 2013 after Friday's 27-26 win at Alma. Quarterback Layne Hutchins, in just his second career start, was strong, completing 18 of 27 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown to running back Erick Mendez. SPRINGDALE – Springdale Har-Ber put its collective foot on Jefferson City's throat Friday night at Wildcat Stadium in a 54-14 statement win. The Jays came in as the No. 3 team in Missouri's largest classification, but Har-Ber paid it no mind. The Wildcats rushed for 583 yards and five scores on the ground in the rout, led by Logan Collins' 229 on 21 carries. Springdale High 37, Conway 30 w/Stats

Springdale High avenged last season's playoff lost to Conway on the road Friday night, beating the Wampus Cats 37-30. The Bulldogs were led by receiver Kyler Willams, who caught seven passes for 145 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Erick Mendez had a solid night also, rushing 28 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns. SPRINGDALE – Springdale Har-Ber started fast and let its defense carry it Friday night, opening the season with a 47-0 drubbing of Fort Smith Southside at Wildcat Stadium. Bentonville High Scrimmage opens Tigers' eyes Bentonville coach Jody Grant said last week's scrimmage against Siloam Springs opened their eyes and brought up some things the Tigers needed to address before Friday's season opener against Kansas City (Mo.) Springdale Har-Ber Volleyball Preview

When Shyrah Schisler took over the Springdale Har-Ber volleyball program, she wanted to institute a toughness about her girls, and a no-excuses type team. She's done just that. Last season was, literally, a banner year for the Lady Wildcats, finishing as the 7A runner-up with a 28-6-1 record.
