Heritage struggles in loss to Russellville

RUSSELLVILLE — Rogers Heritage scored 35 points and rolled up 375 yards of total offense in week one, but the War Eagles could get very little going Friday night. Rapid Report: Rogers Heritage 35, Olathe (Kan.) North 33

OLATHE, Kan. — Rogers Heritage bounced off the ropes and applied a late knockout punch to claim a hard-fought 35-33 win on the road against Olathe (Kan.) North on Friday night.

The War Eagles (1-0) scored with three minutes left on sophomore quarter Trey Kitterman's 10-yard keeper for the game-winner.

Olathe North had taken a 33-29 lead by converting back-to-back Heritage miscues into touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Senior quarterback Jake Qualls enjoyed a big night, completing 19 of 33 passes for 213 yards and four touchdowns. Senior receiver Collin Christian finished with 10 catches for 92 yards and four touchdowns.
