RAPID REPORT: Shiloh Christian 44, Huntsville 7

A steady diet of Connor Reece and Broc Berus mixed with a smothering defense was too much for Huntsville during Shiloh Christian's 44-7 victory at Eagle Stadium.

Neither played a snap in the second half thanks to a 41-0 halftime lead and a running clock through the second half due to the Arkansas Activities Association's sportsmanship rule.

Reece, the Saints' third-year starting quarter, completed 22 of 33 passes for 381 yards and four touchdowns in the first half alone. The senior also added a six-yard touchdown run.

Berus rushed for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass in the first half. The … Continue Reading ››

Prep Report Class 5A and Below — Week 4

week-3-statistics Greenland Pirates Greenland suffered its first defeat, losing by a touchdown (19-12) at Gentry. The Pirates (2-1) allied for 12 points in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late after the Pioneers built a 19-0 lead. Long-time Pirates coach Lee Larkan believes the game was lost much earlier after his team lost a fumble deep in its first drive of the game. They then lost tailback Michael McAdoo to an injury, and the senior is not expected to play this week against Clinton at home. “We don't have much … Continue Reading ››
