saints-wolves-full-box There was no need to see the official statistics to know Shiloh Christian dominated every aspect of a 49-0 win against Lincoln at Wolfpack Stadium on Friday night.

The Saints racked up 393 yards with a nice balance of 215 passing and 178 rushing as compared to 134 for the Wolves, including 72 rushing and 62 passing.

Saints senior Connor Reece was an efficient 13-of-20 passing for 215 yards and three touchdowns. His to target was junior Jake Nelson, who caught five passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns.

Other than returning to the win column, perhaps the biggest positive takeaway from Shiloh Christian's 36-7 blowout against Gentry was a glimpse of the future. Thanks to 36-0 lead late in the first half, Saints coach Jeff Conaway was able to insert underclassman for the final two-plus quarters, meaning reserves were on the field more than the starters during Friday's homecoming game. Week 6 Athlete of the Week: Will Jarrett

Bentonville West, a team some wrote off this season because it has no seniors on its roster, is 2-1 in 7A-West play after a 42-40 win against Springdale High on Friday.

Sophomore quarterback Will Jarrett is the Athlete of the Week after completing 21 of 29 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns and also rushing for a touchdown in the first-year program’s second victory. The Wolverines’ only other touchdown was 99-yard interception return by junior Jason Gloeckler.

SPRINGDALE —Zeke Laird threw six touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Prairie Grove to a 45-15 victory against Shiloh Christian at Champions Stadium on Friday. Prairie Grove remains undefeated at 6-0 overall and 3-0 in 4A-1 play while Shiloh Christian falls to 5-1, 2-1. Tigers senior Isaac Disney caught touchdown passes of 59 and 57 yards and also shined defensively.
