Gravette senior running back Austin O’Brien filled up the statistics sheet even more than usual during a 40-7 win over Lincoln on Friday to earn ARPreps.com Athlete of the Week honors.
O’Brien (6-foot, 190 pounds) rushed 14 times for 254 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also made four tackles on defense, and had a whopping 23 tackles during a game earlier this season.
It was O’Brien’s third, 100-plus yard game and he has 660 yards on 67 carries with seven touchdowns. That’s 9.9 yards per tote and 165 yards per game. He also has wrapped up 47 tackles this season.

LUKE GUMM, SILOAM SPRINGS Six receptions for 84 yards and three touchdowns in a second half of a win at Sheridan. Also kicked a field goal and four extra points.
HAYDEN HOLTGREWE, PEA RIDGE Caught 4 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown, returned a punt 34 yards for a touchdown and intercepted a pass in Friday’s 47-18 win over Gentry.
JADON JACKSON, BENTONVILLE WEST Seven receptions for 179 yards and a touchdown. Also rushed for a touchdown to beat Van Buren.
WILL JARRETT, BENTONVILLE WEST Completed 12 of 19 passes for 275 yards and a touchdown in a 43-28 win over Van Buren.
ANTHONY JOHNSON, PRAIRIE GROVE Had 10 carries for 131 yards and a touchdown and a 42-yard interception return for a touchdown to lead the Tigers to a win at Huntsville. He also had two receptions for 58 yards.
TYLER JOHNSON, BENTONVILLE HIGH Caught three passes for 105 yards, scoring a touchdown and setting up another, as the Tigers defeated Fayetteville for the 12th straight time during the regular season.
CHANCE JONES, ELKINS Rushed 15 times for 91 yards and three touchdown and an 81-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in a 46-12 win over Yellville-Summit.
JONATHAN LOPEZ, SPRINGDALE HIGH Rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns on 23 carries in a 44-7 win over Rogers Heritage.
RYLEY MARTIN, BENTONVILLE HIGH Recovered a Fayetteville fumble with 12 seconds remaining to preserve Bentonville’s 32-27 victory.
